Drone Updates: The Bureau of Investigative Journalism

Monitoring the impact of drone warfare on civilians to hold powers accountable.

The UK-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism (TBIJ) maintains a drone warfare database, which includes updates on the number of drone strikes and level of casualties in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia. In addition, TBIJ publishes regular stories and investigative reports covering the impact of wars on civilians in its Shadow Wars series.

The Bureau's trusted datasets on US drone attacks have been widely used by media outlets including the New York Times, and the BBC, as well as the protagonists of our documentary film "Unseen War".
