Walls That Speak

Walls That Speak is a 47-minute video showing the power of the visual in Beirut's public spaces, and how the graffiti on the city's walls can offer an intriguing insight into the complex psyche of the people.

The visual messages posted ask where we are headed, and question controversial issues such as rising property prices, serving as cries of frustration and social discontent and telling the story of post-war Beirut. The artists featured are a testament to the city's vibrant and emerging art culture, which our protagonist Rajwa in From Our Point of View harnesses to promote her campaign to take back the sea.
