Nohomophobes

A real-time interface collecting data from Twitter and designed to track casual homophobia in our society.

NoHomophobes is a real-time interface collecting data from Twitter and designed to track casual homophobia in our society. Words and phrases like “faggot” and “so gay” are used casually in everyday language, despite generating the alienation, isolation and - in some tragic cases - suicide of members of the LGBTQ communities. From the website it is possible to get real time data about the use of homophobic language on Twitter, see what people are saying and get an overview of the use of homophobic language over time.
